Same hands, start to finish.
Neefe & Nazaka Architects (N2) is an architecture practice with a deliberately simple way of working, built on one idea: design things to get built. Both principals know how a building actually goes together, and contractors appreciate architects who draw with the field in mind. N2 does not trade in pretty pictures that unravel in construction. Nothing gets presented that is unbuildable, outside the scope, over budget, or otherwise infeasible, and that judgment, paired with a strong command of current tools and BIM, holds from first sketch to final detail. At the end of the day, N2 is realistic, and the work is designed to be built.
A handful of representative projects, shown here as a curated sample. The full and ongoing body of work lives on Instagram, where new projects are posted first and far more often than this page is updated. See much more here.
Healthcare is the core of the practice, and it sets the bar for everything else: unforgiving codes, real budgets, and buildings that have to run around the clock without going dark. That discipline, the habit of drawing for how a building actually operates and gets assembled, carries straight into commercial, civic, multifamily, and institutional work. None of it is simple, healthcare least of all, and complex, demanding projects are exactly the ones N2 is built to take on. What N2 keeps simple is the process around the work, so the complexity stays in the building and never in the way of getting it built.
Hospitals, clinics, and specialty suites, from sterile processing and imaging to full department renovations. Healthcare is the core of the practice and the most demanding work N2 takes on: strict codes, tight budgets, infection control, and buildings that have to keep running around the clock without ever going dark. It is where the detail runs deepest, and the discipline that sharpens every other sector.
New commercial shells, mixed-use buildings, office fit-ups, and warehouse and industrial work.
Single-family and multifamily work, from new builds to full renovations and accessory structures.
Schools, athletic and student-life centers, and other institutional facilities across the region.
Public buildings for towns and counties: nursing homes, police and public works facilities, and community projects.
N2 also works behind the scenes for other architecture firms, modeling, designing, and drafting complex buildings in BIM. There is real and growing demand for architects who understand how a building actually goes together and can execute it in BIM, and very few who do both well. That is a deliberately underserved niche, and exactly the gap N2 fills.
Founded in January 2026, N2 was built to work the way architecture should: a principal running every project, start to finish. Conceptual design, Revit drawings, site visits, and construction administration all stay with the architect who began the job. Projects are never handed down to a junior team.
The two principals have practiced together for ten years. Between them they bring deep experience in the field, more than 35 years for Jamie Neefe and more than 20 for Tony Nazaka, the majority of it in healthcare, commercial, and institutional work.
The office is kept deliberately lean, with no unnecessary layers, handoffs, or overhead. Not because the work is simple, healthcare and complex buildings are anything but, but because a direct, uncomplicated process is what lets a small and senior team take on demanding projects without piling friction, delay, or headaches onto a profession both principals know cold.
